The ItAlien recommends: Jovanotti

If you would have told me that I would have seen a Jovanotti performance in NYC with my American boyfriend let’s say 2 or 3 years ago, I would have doubted your soberness.

Instead, I did see Jovanotti perform at the Music Hall of Williamsburg yesterday night, with M, and it was a lot of fun. And packed. And the audience was a nice mix of Italians and Americans, all singing along to Lorenzo’s lyrics (his actual name is Lorenzo Cherubini, Jovanotti is an Americanized pun on the word “giovanotti,” or youngsters), no matter how good the pronunciation.

I personally rediscovered his music while searching for decent Italian songs to have M listening to. I picked “Fango,” “Serenata Rap” and “A te,” which he did recognize at the concert (yay!).
